Some Quabalistic Comments on Anubis and other Egyptian Gods

An effigy of the jackal-headed deity Anubis, god of embalming
and protector of the dead, sits atop the gilded chest on which it rested
for 3,245 years in Tutankhamen's tomb. It was carved of wood, overlaid
with a thin layer of plaster and painted with black resin. The Anubis figure
may have been intended to combine the role as a guard with his being a

The Egyptian Quabalah sets the number
9 with ANUBIS, the DOGGOD of the Underworld, the navigator of the
Souls through the land of death,
dominion of SET (Number 10). ANUBIS is also the SHADOW or KHAIBIT.
Now is one's Shadow not part of the LIGHT AND part of the DARKNESS at
ONCE!? Only the darkness of mass (i.e. matter) can redeem the mass;
but where would the light of illumination come from? Well "Shadow"
implies a source of light, shining onto an object; which then casts a shadow
with the shadow able to mix with the darkness as its own. The shadow
can go where the light cannot be, since if the light would be where the
darkness is, there would be no more darkness, since the light would
outshine and overcome the darkness.
Egyptian Quabalah also states this duality of ANUBIS GODDOG and shadow
of TRUTH, this TRUTH being THOTH (Number 5), IBISGOD of Law, Order, Higher
Learning and all Medicine. Symbolized by the Caduceus, two entwined
serpents; THOTH is Lord of Karma, Time and the keeper of the Akashic Record
(Akashia being one name of Mother Earth-Gaia).
Also the Ibis bird of Egypt is both black and white and the higher form
of ANUBIS is URAEUS, the SNAKEGOD and symbol of the Priesthood. Its number
is 18 (1+8=9) and thus the letter R for SPIRITUAL RADIATION and the two
sides of the ONE coin: black and white or "Good" and "Evil". Merging the
two serpents, we have the higher law and the analytic wisdom of THOTH as
masculine counterpart to the feminine magic of ISIS, wife of OSIRIS (Number
1 and spiritual tree of life) and complementary as intuitive sister to
THOTH. ISIS (Number 2) and OSIRIS are the parents of twins, namely the
male HORUS (Number 3, letter C) and the female BAST (Number 4, letter D).
Now the father of ANUBIS is SET, the Egyptian DEVIL (and unreal since 10=1+0=1
and so the unreal image of OSIRIS) and the mother of ANUBIS is NEPHTYS
(Number 7, letter G). Now the real father of ANUBIS is OSIRIS, who made
LOVE to the sister of ISIS, namely NEPHTYS. Now all this defines
ANUBIS (Number 9 and letter I, the true SELF) as shadow, being both SON
of MAN and the MASS by his father SET, the DEVIL and also being the SON
of GOD by his other father OSIRIS. There are many more stories from the
Egyptian Quabalah to be told another time. Suffice to say, that the Jewish
Kabbalah derived from the Quabalah of the Naassenes (or Essenes), which
stands for the Cult of the SNAKEGOD URAEUS.
