I am not familiar with this fellow's teachings or followers. His teaching from the little I know seems to be an update of traditional Advaita Vedanta. Revered by his followers as an enlightened being, he didn't make any airs about being an avatar or world-teacher - always a good sign. In 1936 he founded The Divine Life Society in India. His Yoga, "called the 'Yoga of Synthesis', effects a harmonious development of the 'hand', 'head' and 'heart' through the practice of Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga and Bhakti Yoga."
