~120 MYA - The Ancient Oekumene at its height.

Because of their starlifting technology, later successor civilizations refer to them as those who "Those who shape the stars like Giants" (although a lot of this is believed to be exagerated, and some later civilizations also had starlifting)

~110-90 MYA - other civilizations

~80 MYA - The Second Oekumene modify some of the Ancient Oekumene dysons and other megastructures, as well as creating their own.

This galaxy-spanning theocracy was noted for its vast orwoods, dysons, and advanced shipbuilding sciences. The reason for its decline is not known - some have suggested it was destroyed by autowars, or possible nanoswarms; other theories say it was an internal memetic conflict leading to civil war. Apart from the long mutated orwood forests, there are few artifacts or traces, and all that remain troday are superstitions and myths.

~70-40 MYA - other civilizations

~30 MYA - The Third Oekumene modify some of the Ancient and Second Oekumene dysons and other megastructures, as well as creating their own. Sometimes called the Orudi Federation, although it is possible the Federation was just a part of the larger Oekumene, or an offshoot.

~28-25 MYA - The long-lived ZaForKumor interstellar imperium - noted for its advanced terraforming and megastructures - and its successor civilizations - flouroish on the outskirts of Known Space.

~25 MYA - nomads from the former post-ZaForKumor breakup establish colonies in Known and Local space, hybridising with the locals to create several daughter civilizations, including The Kheg - a mystical interstellar civilization known for its intricate virchcosms, maintained by a sophisticated mechasystem in megastructures called "Celestial Jewels" .

~23 MYA - The Kheg destroyed by eir own artificial life forms (possibly infected by a blight or a series of blights), leaving behind only its artifacts and a religion and mythology based around them

~25-20 MYA - other civilizations

15 MYA - The Miogenic Builders Restore some of the Third Oekumene dysons and other megastructures, repair the local Beamrider Ways, and embark on various projects of their own

15-14 MYA - Miogenic successor civilizations

14-12 MYA - Decline of the sucessor Miogenic civilizations, some barbarism, isolated high and ultratech civs

12-10 MYA - other civilizations, some barbarism

10-9 MYA - replicators, swarms, vigorous young civilizations, some barbarism

9-8 MYA - Various expansionistic and hegomonous civilizations.

8 MYA - Replicating War Machines destroy all the civilizations in the region

6.3 MYA - Raövik terraformed from an Arean world over six million years ago.

6.2 MYA - The so-called "Empire of the Orwoods"

5.6 MYA - Provolved arthropods establish the Bug's Province in a chain of megastructures in and around the Vimantor System

5.3 MYA The Igegorum Heos - a topo-philosophical star-spanning civilization noted for its advanced memetic domination and subversion of lesser civilizations (the populace of some of which were used as remote processing nodes), advanced replicator technology, and higher dimensional metamathematical speculations.

4-5 MYA - The Heos sometimes aid civilizations by destroying aggressors and nanoswarms, at other time sthey would enforce their own dominion

3.8 MYA - The Igegorum Heos disappear, some migrating beyond known space (and possibly to other galaxies), others ascending to abstract spaces.

3 MYA - Filling the vacuum left by The Igegorum Heos are the nanoborg Vaboram and the AI-clade Mados, who likewise dominated (but also in some cases guided) less advanced civilizations

2.8 MYA - a series of wars between the remaining Vaboram and the Mados devastates much of local space. Both civilizations dissapear soon after - it is not known whether they are destroyed by their own weapons or outside influences

2.5 MYA - Emergence of the Em Nu Evolution - a transapient interstellar imperium was noted for its advanced terraforming and megastructures.

0.8 MYA - The Em Nu Evolution dissapear in a series of transcension events, leaving behind an automated beamrider network that was developed as trade routes.

521 KYA The Arim-Ojefo-Joi, an expansionistic megastructure-colonizing society was noted for its advanced neogenics, hedonics, and works of art, develop on a number of Em Nu megastructures.

519 KYA The ViThaqrii are one of many species created by the Arim-Ojefo-Joi

482 KYA The Arim-Ojefo-Joi is destroyed by an alliance of its neighbors. Only their art and some of their bionano creations.

481 KYA The ViThaqrii, now withouit masters, become a clade of "symbiotes" - offering their wetware template skills to small colonies and others who will encourage and support them

287-281 KYA aggressive nomadic invaders from the counterspinwards Inner Arm conquer the region

281-275 KYA A number of short-lived empires develop and fight or trade for resources across the megastructures left by the Em Nu and the Miogenic Builders

275-274 KYA The Piuyor Technocracy and the Ninlo Commonwealth emerge as the two most powerful starfaring states

273 KYA The Piuyor-Ninlo Empire becomes a long-lived patriotic megastructure-inhabiting imperium noted for its advanced astrography and nanometallurgy.

270-266 KYA several waves of posthuman and AI libertarian trade polities and clades peacefully interfere with the local polities and empires

268 KYA The Second Aicracy of the Piuyor-Ninlo Empire ushers in a rennaisance of scientific, economic, and toposophic ideas

260 KYA The Piuyor-Ninlo Empire is destroyed by economic conflict, leaving behind only political theories.

250 KYA - The Ioden, a previously unknown theocratic cyborg species with advanced nanomechanical and megascale engineering skills emerges and begins building and restoring beamrider stations across known space. Some historians claim that they were a daughter civilization of the Vaboram, noting similarities in data-organisation and nanofabrication, but the evidence for direct connection is ambiguous

241 KYA - The Xirumatu, a peaceful star-spanning groupmind noted for its advanced mercantile skills, take advanatge of the new networks

192 KYA - Rise of the multi-clade Dufy-Aogh civilization

180 KYA The militaristic megastructure-dwelling Greater Amot-Irumat Republic dominates the Aroxep System and surrounding volume, developing a technology of advanced mechanosynthesis and bio-engineering.

178 KYA The Ahuman AI known as the "Soul Eater" imprisons the entire megastructure of Ragylaym - all ten trillion inhabitants, using them as remote processing nodes

176 KYA - Over a period of several decades the Amot-Irumat are destroyed by hyperintelligent nanoswarms spreading over communication arrays via ai virus, leaving only remote deep space nanofacturing plants and technological relics.

174 KYA The Dufy-Aogh civilization is destroyed by a mysterious event (nanoswarm? voluntary ascension?) that caused the population to disappear. However, their bio-engineered servitors (later to be known as Fyiu-Oyaun) remained untouched.

160 KYA - In the isolated Oraxep Volume, a Fyiu-Oyaun colony evolves into a bionano collective mind theocracy was noted for its advanced organic cities. However, they remain restricted to the Mertaxemb system

159 KYA - The after-effects of the Peneroisa mass-transcension event causes an economic recession among some local civilizations.

138 KYA - The Fyiu-Oyaun die out due to depletion of natural resources, leaving behind only a few references along trade routes.
