Archetypal Convergence
Yakov Leib
Archetypal Convergence posits that there is a vast, pre-existent
ocean of eternal, autonomous Wisdom - i.e., "God" - out of which a particular
content periodically
bubbles, as it were, into individual and/or collective
consciousness and is cloaked by the latter to "fit" its social customs
and beliefs. Thus, two mystical traditions, for example, can descrribe
the same archetypal content of the Psyche, in slightly different but corresponding
images.
