Kheper

You may be wondering why this site is called kheper.
The name kheper is an ancient egyptian term with many nuances
it refers to the scarab or dung beetle,
which the Egyptians venerated as sacred and a symbol of immortality
because of its ability to metamorphise from a soft grub to a beautiful adult insect

kheper is also a verb meaning "to create" or come into being, "to exist", and "to transform"

and it is the root of the name of the god Khepri, god of the rising sun; symbol of the dawn, the new creation.

as we enter the new millenium, let us keep in mind the symbol of the new creation, of transmutation, of immortality
