Jupiter
- and comprehensive introduction to Pluto and it's moon
(Nine
Planets mirror sites)
Jupiter
moon may hold an unfrozen sea
- and to add a note, in a documentary I saw on TV Arthur C Clark
spoke about life on Europa - it seems like Europa has taken over from Titan
as the most interesting body in the solar system. Although there
is no shortage of water (ice) in space - e.g. comets are nothing but giant
dirty snowballs - the possibility of liquid water that gets scientists
excited, because of it's association with life (water is a unversal solvent).
The thing that I am sceptical about though is whether fragile carbon based
life could survive the intense maganetic radiation generated by Jupiter
itself.
